Maybe we got lucky with the room but we didn’t experience most of the things other negative reviews state. For us, it’s overall clean, quiet and satisfying. It’s nothing fancy but definitely not bad either. It’s one of the cheapest options in Anchorage. Considering you are paying significantly less than an average hotel in Alaska, expectations should also be adjusted. For me, it met that expectation. The only downside is the slow wifi, which can use some improvement.
The booking person on the phone told me there was a fridge and microwave in my room, but there wasn't. I don't blame the people that work at this location, they were great! Room was quiet and clean, plenty of soap, towels, and tp. Close to shopping and freeway access a short distance from Anchorage. Can't beat the price! Will be back again!
Rooms are clean and bathroom is clean. My room had no microwave or coffee maker but the is free coffee downstairs and breakfast.
Microtel is about 20 miles from the airport, rooms were big, beds were comfortable, no air conditioning in room and no refrigerator in room. The service was very good, friendly, and quick check in. Thank you
A couple of things. The outside railing needs to be cleared of snow and ice the ramp needs better traction. It is difficult to push a wheelchair because of the traction when icy and snowy. The personnel was great.
It's far from the downtown and airport. Not much business around, only one supermarket nearby and close at 8pm on Sunday. All the restaurants were closed on July 4th Holiday. First receptionist was nice and friendly, helped us get a room with sofa bed. But waited long time to get sheets due to the laundry. Overall it is for the travelers with cars.
Cleanliness of room was 9 out of 10. Window seat was quite stained and needs replacing.
Overall my stray was good. I just needed a place for the night. The staff was really nice and helpful. They were able to get me in a room that had the amenities that i had requested. Though the BR did not have any toiletries like (shampoo, conditioner, body lotion or soap). I normally bring my own anyway. It could use a deep cleaning under the bed and maybe a cleaning of the windows seat. There was a fan in the closet, but i preferred the widow for fresh air. If i needed to again I would stay here.
